The Association of Cardiac Technology in Victoria Inc. aims to

• Promote the profession of Cardiac Technology. 
• Represent the interests of the Cardiac Technicians and Cardiac Technologists.
• Recommend and promote guidelines for professional and ethical standards of practice.
• Promote and participate in the establishment of a National Body of Cardiac Technology.
• Establish accreditation and registration of practising Cardiac Technicians and Cardiac Technologist.
• Encourage group and individual professional endeavour.
• Establish and promote scholarships to be made available to members.
  Liaise with allied professional groups in the interests of the members.
  Establish education guidelines including the establishment of tertiary level course(s) at appropriate institution(s), promote continuing education by providing annual programme encompassing a broad range of interest, and encourage attendance at scientific meetings, discussion groups and specialised courses.
• Maintain communication networks via regular newsletters, notices, meetings and social functions.
• Assist members where possible in matters outside the profession.
